Vedovi Gallery has earned a credible and convincing reputation since its establishment in 1995. The gallery’s expertise has always remained on the secondary market of post-war and contemporary European and American art.
Eminently known for its tasteful understanding and knowledge of these markets, Vedovi Gallery has maintained a high quality trade of works over the past 15 years. The gallery has in addition been involved in setting up Magritte Retrospectives that traveled to Rome, Tokyo and Seoul amongst other places. Due to its close relation to The Magritte Foundation, the gallery has participated to thematic exhibitions such as Magritte and contemporary Art : The Treachery of Images at the Los Angeles County Museum , Nov 2006-Mar 2007.
Historically the gallery has been vastly affiliated in exhibiting leading surrealists artists such as René Magritte, Paul Delvaux, Jean Dubuffet or Max Ernst. However the recent aspirations have broadened towards more post war artists with a niche in Italian and American contemporary works. This scope has included thematic shows dedicated to Lucio Fontana (2008), Alighiero e Boetti (2009) and Agostino Bonalumi (2011), as well as a more recent exhibition of Donald Judd’s Progressions from the 60’s and 70’s (2011).
