KIN is a new commercial gallery in the heart of Brussels, Rue Ravenstein, with a focus on artistic positions that defy easy categorisation. KIN stands for kinship and, as such, the gallery is based on a network of artists that I have been working with for many years. Collaboration with others is part of KIN’s DNA, an interdisciplinary approach is its goal. KIN is both a commercial enterprise and a platform for artistic exchange — it presents exhibitions, develops projects, and programmes events. The gallery space, designed by OFFICE Kersten Geers David Van Severen, rethinks what a contemporary gallery space can be today, creating a site that allows for multifaceted presentations by contemporary international artists.
