MeetFactory

MeetFactory is a Prague-based non-profit international center for contemporary art, founded in 2001 by artist David Černý. The organization focuses on supporting contemporary art through exhibitions, residency programs, theater performances, music concerts, and other cultural events. It emphasizes international collaboration and interdisciplinary projects that connect various artistic forms and approaches. A key part of its activities is the international Artist-in-Residence program, the largest studio program in the Czech Republic, which annually hosts over thirty artists from around the world.

MeetFactory operates two galleries with their own specific concepts and dramaturgy. The MeetFactory Gallery focuses on original curatorial projects that connect the local and international art scenes, allowing exhibitors to significantly influence the space with their installations. The Kostka Gallery serves as a space for artistic experiments and site-specific installations that respond to the unconventional typology of the venue, targeting the emerging generation of artists and resident projects. The exhibition program of both galleries accentuates links between domestic and foreign creations, fosters intergenerational confrontation, and responds to current topics that open a range of philosophical and sociopolitical questions.
