From the USA to Latin America, Europe to the Middle East, Asia to Australia and beyond, there is nothing short of a home design revolution underway as we all face the challenges of our Anthropocene era: climate change and polluting plastics, global migration and its accompanying geopolitics, rapidly expanding cities and an ageing population. A worldwide movement embracing symbiotic and sensible design solutions is underway that is redefining our understanding of the place we call “home.” These are sustainable housing models that demand big changes to the way we imagine and build our homes today. Participatory and mindful, these new home building tactics link together knowledge from myriad fields to create dignified and sustainable forms of habitation for a healthier tomorrow.
